HBP 's Iraq Majnoon DS2 Wet Oil Upgrading EPC Project has successfully commenced

     

        On May 12, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Iraq Majnoon DS2 Wet Oil Upgrading EPC project, undertaken by HBP Group, was successfully held. Key leaders in attendance included Mr. Hayan Abdulghani, the Iraqi Minister of Oil, representatives of Basra Oil Company, Anton Oilfield Services Company, and HBP Group Middle East Branch.

 

 

        The Majnoon Oilfield DS2 Wet Oil Upgrading EPC project falls under the category of EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) projects. The main components involve the upgrading and renovation of comprehensive system engineering, including oil processing facilities, utility systems, water treatment facilities, semi-fixed foam systems for crude oil tanks, gas processing facilities, Instrument Air (IA) systems, and nitrogen systems.

 

 

        In February of this year, HBP Group signed the contract for the Majnoon Oilfield DS2 Wet Oil Upgrading EPC project with Antonoil Services DMCC. The contract amount is USD 185 million (approximately RMB 1.275 billion).

 

 

        The Majnoon DS2 Wet Oil Upgrading EPC project is currently the largest turnkey project for HBP Group in Iraq.
